Definition of Zitto after some lawmakers displeasure with his declaration

30 December 2016 in Kigoma MP and leader of the party chief Zitto Kabwe PATRIOT ACT gave information about the debt he owed, the rate of annual wages, the amount of money available bank, plus allowances and all assets in its possession.

Through its facebook page has elaborated claiming some of her colleagues are not pleased with the way he steered it stated that ....

MP salary per month is Tshs 4.6 million before taxes, after income tax cut remains an MP and Tshs 3.2 million per month. That salary is Tshs 38.4 million per year.

MP also paid Tshs 8.2 million every month as an allowance for the work of Parliament (fat visiting Canton, car repairs, payment of staff of the Office of the Member of Parliament as well as the driver, the minister's office and the Secretary of MP). This leads to the total revenue of Tshs 99 million per year I entered on the assets and liabilities reported.

MP also paid allowances and sitting allowances (for those who take these allowances). These are issued based on the attendance of meetings.

Moreover Zitto added that lay open declaration of assets and liabilities at the moment is not a legal requirement but it is a personal decision of MP or other public leader.

I should have put my party constitution clearly a declaration of assets and liabilities in accordance with the resolution of Tabora Arusha resolution. So, should be considered as a clear declaration put me concerned is implementing the wishes of the party constitution which I am a member and not accuse my fellow citizens. I believe that transparency is one effective weapon to combat corruption. I have submitted a bill to parliament to want this transparency must be the law of our country; -Zitto
